We booked this "hotel," but the owner refused to let us stay and wouldn’t explain why. We don’t speak perfect English, and he spoke Hungarian to us. After a while he sent us to another hotel. It was late, so we went, but nobody was there to meet us. We had to call, and the owner only answered after 30 minutes. He then sent instructions for opening an apartment that wasn’t what we had booked. We had reserved an apartment with a kitchen and private free parking, but got a simple room and had to pay for street parking. In Budapest, that isn’t cheap. All the rooms in the same hotel were occupied by Roma people, and with our three kids we didn’t feel safe. The final reason we left was that everything was open, with no way to close anything and feel secure. If you don’t speak Hungarian, I’d avoid this place and its totally rude owner. Booking customer service later told us the owner had overbooked the hotel, and that they often have this problem. A nice reply from the owner, but Booking confirmed what happened and said they’d had recurring issues with you. Anything to say about the overbooking?

Fine for a night while passing through. The only issue was the fairly noisy gas heater or boiler in our room.

Very good motel, with nice rooms, Wi-Fi, and parking. They speak English too!

The location is superb, very close to the central square. The place is nice and clean, and the patio is really cosy.
