Villa Mnika

The apartments were clean, well equipped, quiet but easy to get to, and they met all our needs. We spent some nice days here with friends, and the barbecue area was in good shape too. A couple of small things stood out: I was surprised to find a hairdryer in the bathroom, but really missed having a towel rack. The ongoing barking from a dog kept in a kennel and not exercised also spoiled our stay. To me, that’s different from the occasional natural, alerting bark, and it was the owner’s responsibility.

The apartment suited us well: two rooms and a bathroom, with a comfortable double bed in the bedroom and two children’s beds set in an L in the other room. There was a fridge, a double stove and enough dishes for three people, and the bathroom was clean. Nearby, about a two-minute walk, are a playground, restaurant, and outdoor and indoor gyms. Lake Balaton’s shore is about a ten-minute walk, longer with children. Two things could be improved: the towels weren’t washed during our week, although the trash was collected every day, and the kitchen window can’t be darkened, so light comes into the apartment at six in the morning. It was easy to find.

Good if you just need somewhere to sleep, though the city beach is a bit far at 2.2km and the center isn’t close either. It works best with a car or bike, and around Lake Balaton I’d really recommend having a bike.

We love this place ❤️ The apartment in Keszthely is wonderful and has everything you need. It’s near the beach, fishing spot and shops. The accommodation is clean and tidy, with a private bathroom, and the owners are kind and helpful.
