Madácsi Vendégház

We've stayed at the Apartment several times and intend to come back. It's very clean and orderly, the kitchen is well equipped, and the owners are kind. There's a lovely garden with grass, flowers, and fruit trees, and we could enjoy as much of the fruit as we liked. The location is convenient too, with all the sights in the center just a short walk away. Thank you, Julika, we'll visit again!

The yard and accommodation were tidy and clean, which is why I gave two stars. But this was the first place I've stayed where I already know I won't return. I was there for two nights with colleagues. The owner and her son ran the apartment, and after the air conditioner had been on during the day, they took away its remote so it wouldn't run at night, even though it should have. They brought it back and turned it on the next day, then switched it off again in the evening. They came in both morning and evening while we were eating, supposedly for special reasons, but it seemed like they wanted to work out how to turn off the air conditioner. They also charged extra for wifi.

The beds were much harder than the mattresses we're used to, which was the only real drawback. Otherwise, the apartment was nice and clean, with a little kitchen, table and chairs, plus a small terrace with seating. The large garden was beautiful and well kept, with loungers, and parking was free. The landlady was friendly and accommodating. There were no meals, but the price was okay.

It was cozy, though it felt like stepping into the early 80s Soviet Union, right down to the furniture and everything else. The TV was ancient and had no USB ports, so you'd need your own gadgets to watch films from a flash drive. There were hardly any power outlets either. Like visiting grandma)))
