The staff were so friendly and professional, and speaking English with them was easy. Breakfast had lots of different foods, plus free coffee. Our room was too warm for sleeping, though that seems common in hotels. We only stopped for one night on the way elsewhere, so it’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer, try more of the dishes, and see the city. I’d recommend this lovely hotel and restaurant.

The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. Thanks to the staff for being so kind. Berki guesthouse has a lovely garden and a restaurant with some authentic decor. Its location is good too, since it’s away from the middle of town. The rooms were clean, but noise from neighboring rooms came through the walls, which seems to happen pretty much everywhere we stay. The main problem was the Wi-Fi: it didn’t work in our room and only worked occasionally in the restaurant. If we’d needed to work, we wouldn’t have been able to.

The portions are a good size and the food tastes great for a reasonable price. It can take a little while to be served when the place is full, but it’s worth trying.

We stopped at the restaurant with my wife and had a very nice evening. The food was tasty, traditional Hungarian cooking, and the prices were more than affordable. Our waiter was very polite and spoke German and English. Portions in Hungary can be big, so sometimes a second dish is enough to share between two people. Thank you!
