We stayed for six nights, four people in a room supposedly meant for four. The room had three stools for the folding table, not chairs, which makes me think they know it really isn't set up for four people. The place may once have been impressive, but it needs upkeep. The stone shower, dusty plates, cobwebs and moss in the room all showed that. The kitchen supplies were odd: one 12-15 cm knife, two butter knives, four plastic toothbrush cups, three glass tumblers, a mug and a coffee cup. No kitchen towels or paper towels, just a sponge so worn it was fit for cleaning shoes. We got three rolls of toilet paper for four people over six nights. When my wife pointed out the problems, they knocked 10 cents off the price. That and the electric gate were probably the only positives. It really wasn't a good place to stay.

The reception lady was lovely, and the courtyard with its locked parking was a plus. From outside it looks very nice, but appearances are misleading. We left feeling very sad. We'd booked a four-person “apartment,” but for almost a year they didn't seem to know about the reservation. I only asked about the coffee maker two days before we arrived, and then they didn't know who I was or what I wanted. The place just isn't livable for four people. There are four beds, but not enough space for two of us anywhere. So much was missing: no tea towel, only one sharp knife for four, and a dish sponge I'd have thrown away long ago. The TV was unwatchable, with a choppy picture on the one or two channels it could pick up. There was no air freshener in the bathroom, and the shower cabin looked like it hadn't been descaled since it was built. It was dirty everywhere, so we had to ask for a broom and dustpan. After we complained at length, they took 10,000 HUF off the price. The price felt far too high for what you got. This wasn't what we expected, and I wouldn't recommend it.

You can get to Pécs in about 12-15 minutes by car, and I'd happily stay here again if I visited the area. It's especially good value for money. Booking was contactless. One phone call was all it took, and I was inside within seconds. The place is well equipped, with a detailed list in the room that covers almost anything you might need. There's a nice feeling of freedom since staff aren't around at every turn, but they're quick to help if you call. The staff were very nice, and the yard parking is convenient, with space for about 3-4 cars and a remote-controlled gate. A few things could be better: there aren't many sockets, so an extension cord or T-splitter would help. The air-conditioner remote wasn't in the room, though they brought one as soon as I asked. A mosquito net on the bathroom window would be useful too.

The beds were adequate, and I liked the inner courtyard and remote-controlled gate. The place is in a good location, but it feels like a workers' hostel. The doors are terribly flimsy and creak, and the shower stalls are narrow. Cleaning could be better too. There was no three-way 230 V distributor, the hob wouldn't turn on, and we couldn't find any instructions for it. They skimped on the building's insulation, which will cause trouble later. My son cut his finger on the cracked glass in the main entrance door. That's all I'll say.
