Orchidea Hotel Lipót

The spa area was nice, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. The food was mostly good, though they could add a bit more, like fresh fruit. Service wasn't consistent, especially when there was a wedding and other hotel guests didn't seem to come first. They only told us about the weddings after we'd paid in advance. We would have come anyway, but asking regular guests who have been coming for years to pay first and mention it later isn't a good way to communicate.

At dinner the food choices were limited, and there could've been more fruit, like melon. Breakfast pastries were great. It's a small, pleasant hotel with a really good spa, though the service staff could pay more attention to guests instead of looking at their phones.

There's a lovely garden, an indoor and an outdoor pool, a billiard table, and a small kids' corner. The local food selection is varied. It's fairly close to Gyor and the Danube area of Ferto-Hansag National Park, so there are nearby walks and cultural landscapes to explore. I'm just not sure what there'd be to do on a longer stay or with little kids.

The surroundings are lovely, with good walking nearby, plus a small grocery shop and a local bakery. The personnel were amazing, really very nice. Breakfast was good, and the brewed coffee was great. The main dishes were a little spicy but tasty overall. The wellness area has indoor and outdoor pools and a gym. The hotel itself and its furniture felt a bit aged, the closets smelled musty, and the walls were quite thin. Still, it's not a bad hotel, and I'd recommend it.
