City Hotel Miskolc

The restaurant next door belongs to the hotel, and the food was genuinely good. As hotel guests, we got a 10% discount. I hadn’t expected much from the place, but for the price it turned out to be one of my best stays in the city center or countryside, especially in terms of equipment quality. The room was modern and had quality furnishings, a clean bath, lots of TV channels including German ones, and thick curtains to keep it dark in the morning. There was air conditioning, and the windows seemed quite new and good quality. The wellness area is small but well equipped, and you’ll probably have it to yourself. The staff were very friendly and understanding.

Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices. The rooms are clean and well laid out. Mine faced the main road, so it was noisy, and it took a long time to get hot water in the afternoon.

The hotel is generally nice, the staff speak English, and the food is decent. My room was a good size, but it could get noisy depending on where you are in the building. I could hear the road, neighbors to the left, right, and above, plus a dog that sounded like it was in my room. Probably just bad luck. A tip if you park there in the evening: back into the space facing the main road, and leaving the next morning will be easier 😂

I spent 18 months living at the hotel while working in Miskolc. I met the love of my life there and actually got married there last week. Fantastic rooms and staff, plus a first-class restaurant inside. Superb.
