Promenade Pension

We slept better than we had in weeks in the comfortable bed and quiet room, and even chose to skip a few activities and stay in. The owner was under some pressure while working at the restaurant next door until 2pm, but still kindly let us check in early, which we appreciated. It’s a simple, clean place in an ideal spot, with very good value for money. We’d stay again and recommend it.

Parking is plentiful behind the hotel, but the machine only accepts coins or a special parking card, which I didn’t have as a tourist. It costs 400 huf/hour from 8 to 18 on weekdays and is free at the weekend. Reception were really helpful when I asked about it. The hotel is right in the center of miskolc. Our basic, spacious room had AC, which was great in August, plus a small kitchen sink, microwave, a few plates and cutlery, and a little fridge. The bathroom was clean and new.

Shops, bars, restaurants, and even an exchange office are just a few steps from the entrance. The owner is really helpful, and it’s a very nice place to stay in the center of Miskolc. I’d definitely recommend this pension and would come back if I’m in Miskolc again.

The room was clean, spacious, and in a good location. I just missed having a decent breakfast, though there are plenty of cafés nearby where you can get one.
