The food was delicious, with plenty to choose from, and breakfast was fresh, varied, and nicely presented. We also loved the wellness area, which was clean and relaxing, with spa facilities that felt luxurious but still welcoming. Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The staff were kind, professional, and attentive, and it was clear they cared about our experience. We had a wonderful, restful stay at Paks Energy Hotel and will definitely come back. Thank you! 💛

The spa is wonderful, but being open only from 10 am to 8 pm gives you little time to enjoy it. With work, I could only get there from 5 to 8 pm, which is a shame. The hotel is reasonably priced, with free parking and Wi-Fi. Rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the stylish light fixtures look great. In the suite, the complimentary bottled water and coffee were a nice touch, though the water wasn't refilled. I liked the softer pillow they found for me after I asked, since the regular pillows were all too hard for me. The bar area is nice, and the new hotel opened in late 2025. The rooms are fresh and clean, but the air conditioning is far too noisy at night. That's not acceptable in a brand new hotel when it keeps guests from sleeping, and it needs fixing soon. The location feels like the middle of nowhere, with only industrial sites nearby, so you'll need a rental car. Breakfast is average, with nothing missing but nothing special either, and no omelet chef. When the hotel is more than half full, food isn't replenished quickly. We waited over 15 minutes for more fried eggs. Weekday breakfast starts at 7 am, too late for people who start work then. It should open at 6 on weekdays and 7 on weekends. The yogurt was ten days past its best-before date. When I asked, they brought another one that was also ten days old. There was no hair conditioner or body lotion in the shower. The shoehorn was only 15 mm, when it should be 75 or more. The wardrobe rail was out of reach for anyone under 1.6 metres tall. I asked reception to refill the shoe polish in the shoe-cleaning machine, but they didn't. The reading lamps can't be reached from the bed. It feels like the design came before function. Staff, even at reception, speak poor English. All in all, I'd give it 3+ out of 5.

On my second visit I was with my family in a standard room, and once again there was noise from the ventilation all night, despite the air conditioner being off. The shower still leaked, and this time the bathroom floor was dirty too. The young man at reception was very polite and moved us at night to a room in another wing. It was quiet and cozy. I'd also had a problem on my first stay, when I spent two nights in a standard room listening to ventilation noise all night, with a leaking shower. After I asked about checking out, they offered me an upgrade. That room was more spacious and, to my surprise, completely quiet. It's a new hotel with fairly good finishes.

A great place to stay.

We changed our minds today, 2026.02.15, and went to the hotel restaurant for lunch. We arrived at noon as a party of four, and the place was empty. The selection, service, and staff professionalism were very poor for a 4* superior hotel, despite our good mood. We ordered two glasses of wine, a cola, and an iced tea that wasn't cold. After ten minutes we were told the iced tea had sold out because of yesterday's event. We asked for pineapple juice instead and got a nicely cold one. When we were about to order, the waitress called out to a colleague that there was no risotto. The already very limited menu had one less option. We ordered three starters, but they brought the main course for our five-year-old with those, without asking what the child wanted. The menu described the chicken soup as having chicken, root vegetables, and sugar peas. It was about 2 dl of soup with two tiny 2x2 mm carrot cubes and a 3x3 cm piece of chicken breast. There were peas, though they aren't available on Sundays, or so it seemed. The grilled pork tenderloin with lecsó cream, sausage crumbs, marinated red onion, and parsley potatoes tasted good, but without the lecsó cream everything was bland. At the end we asked for coffee and dessert. We wanted two cappuccinos, but of the three desserts on the menu, only Rákóczi túrós was available, take it or leave it. I've assessed plenty of restaurants through my tourism work and privately, and this was very weak. I hope they improve a lot.
