Duna Relax Hotel

The pools, indoors and out, weren't crowded, and there was a large outdoor area to relax in. There's also giant outdoor chess, a small fitness room, and parking. The surroundings are pleasant, with an old water mill within walking distance; runners can reach a small lake with an outdoor fitness park about 2 km away. The hotel is good value for money and adults only, though dogs are allowed. Our superior double room was nice but a little worn, with a small safe, bathrobe, hair dryer, fridge, and sofa. The wellness area was stylish and fine overall. The Finnish sauna could have been warmer and cleaner, but there are other options, including steam and infrared. Breakfast was excellent, while dinner was just okay. The bar was fine and mid-priced, and the staff were really friendly.

The staff were very helpful and flexible with our requests, and I really appreciated how they handled the rooms we booked for our wedding guests in Ráckeve. The location is a 5, and they deserve the same rating. The hotel itself is old and due for a refresh or reconstruction. The design, walls, and furniture all look like they've seen better days, so my overall experience was about 3.5.

The staff were very nice and the food was delicious, so we did leave with a positive impression. Still, a lot of little things added up: ants and flies were everywhere, there was mold around the pool tiles, and several other details needed attention.

The views from the rooms were beautiful, right by the banks of the Danube. The hotel is nice, though the rooms feel a bit old-fashioned. We found it tricky that none of the staff spoke English, but we managed. There's a spa on site with a pool, sauna, steam room, and massages for an extra charge. Breakfast didn't have much choice, though I suppose that's standard for hotels in Hungary. We didn't try the hotel's restaurant, so I can't comment on its food, but the meal at the wedding we attended there was very nice.
