The location is hard to beat. The spa is almost next door, Lidl and lots of restaurants are within 500 meters, and Horgásztó and Csónakázó-tó are at the end of the street, along with the shaded paths and the 1000-meter running and Nordic walking route. Being so close to things does mean some street noise, though it calms down at night and didn't really affect our sleep. We stayed two nights and would come back. The place was clean, homely, and well equipped, with plenty of towels, soap, toilet paper, a hairdryer, coffee maker, kettle, kitchen towels, hotplate, microwave, cutting boards, pan, and dishes. We didn't need to bring anything, unlike at a campsite at the same price level. My one tiny complaint is that I couldn't find a shoehorn, if there was one. A first world problem. I called the owner when we arrived and found him helpful. His colleague was there to meet us, showed us around, and explained what we needed to know. Check-in is from 14:00 until 20:00, and check-out is by 10:00. There's no reception, so call when you're half an hour from Sárvár. We had no problems, and they told us ahead of time to pay in cash. My quiet observation is that this payment method simply offsets the bank fees they incur. The plush toys in the photos aren't included with the accommodation.

We liked the accommodation itself, including its cleanliness and comfort, but the way things were handled left us with serious questions. The cash-only payment policy seemed suspicious to me when we were checking the options, and it isn't ideal these days. I wondered about tax fraud. When we arrived, we called the owner to say we wanted to check in, but got no response at all. We waited about an hour. szállás.hu also tried to help by calling, without success. We tried email and text too, and eventually he called back. He was undeniably rude, which I found disgusting in a host. He didn't come in person; a woman came instead. We appreciate her kindness, though she was left to deal with our anger. At checkout, the owner appeared and denied in every way that he had been the person on the phone. We knew it was him, and we should be grateful we had enough restraint not to say what we thought. I agree with another negative review: anyone who wants to avoid unpleasant complications should skip this place. Its beauty and elegance hide an owner I found lying and deceitful.

The apartment was nice, and it had air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and parking. But the beds were much too hard, and even the slightest movement made the sofa bed squeak. We left after one night because we couldn't get comfortable. There's no washing machine.
