6/10
Lake Balaton is right outside the garden gate, with a very well-maintained shore, and the building and garden are lovely. Our apartment was more disappointing. There was a suffocating smell by our door, probably coming from the apartment opposite, and construction next door. They could have warned us about the indoor work, since it involved a hammer drill. The stained sofa and decorative cushion, along with the pile of cables on the dining table, were also things they could have dealt with.

Beautiful and clean, and the location is great. The beach is only a few steps away.

It's close to the beach, and getting there from Budapest by train is easy.

A lovely spot with a beautiful view over Lake Balaton.

The apartment itself is very good, but the service is terrible. They don't answer the phone, and there's no way to get in touch.
