Steve was really friendly, and the accommodation was what I expected. My room was number 2 and had three single beds. The online pictures match the place. There's no elevator, but it's under a 10-minute walk to the city's old town and under 20 minutes to the train station. I took off one star because there was a bad smell in the bathroom. I'm not sure whether it came from the toilet or the sewage drain. I could probably have changed rooms, but I was only there for two nights and spent most of my time out. I recommend it.

The rooms were clean, and the owner was a very kind woman who did everything she could to help us. The language barrier didn't get in the way. She speaks German and Hungarian fluently.

It's family run, clean, and cozy. You get all the basics, plus a little extra.

The room was just the right size, with comfortable beds and a handy little fridge. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, and the balcony off the small shared dining room was great for eating pizza :D. The owners were really nice, the prices very fair, and the city center is practically at your fingertips. I can only recommend it if you're after a friendly, affordable place in Sopron.
