The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. Otherwise it felt like a dormitory: no fridge or air conditioning, and the TV picture was especially poor. Breakfast bread didn’t seem fresh, and the trash wasn’t emptied during our three days, even though the tiny bathroom bin filled up. They charged 520 HUF for 0.33 of water, lol. We also couldn’t pay with the SZÉP card, despite being told in advance that we could. There’s a nightclub and casino, which doesn’t feel reassuring for families. When we asked reception what to see in the city, they had no suggestions, then rudely said they’d go online and get an answer. A receptionist should know what sights are in their own city. I don’t recommend it, and we won’t be back.

We didn’t sleep well either of the two nights. Loud music blared from the basement or bar until dawn, and guests were screaming and banging around in the corridor on both nights. The room was dark. The sheets and towels were clean, but the carpet and walls weren’t. Getting there meant slaloming past drink racks in a storage corridor behind the bar. The receptionists were nice, and there’s plenty of parking behind the hotel, though it might not be available in the evening.

Fine for a night. The rooms are mixed, some nice and some just average, and cleanliness varies too. I’d skip breakfast: the sandwiches are huge and look so-so. The coffee tastes good, though, and the pizza was delicious.

The place itself is pleasant, and the service is excellent. Breakfast was the problem: there were just two sandwiches for four people, and they were moldy. Don’t order it.
