Platan Udvarhaz

The room was beautiful, breakfast tasty, and the location wonderful. We had dinner at Platan bistro and loved everything. Just two things bothered me. The room was so hot it was hard to breathe, and we ended up turning on the air conditioning at the end of October. Also, the stairs into the lake at the wellness centre were covered in slime and really slippery, so be careful.

Kristina deserves a special mention. She was very kind at checkout and went out of her way to make getting to the train station painless. That was a lovely end to a memorable stay at Platán Udvarház és Platán Utca. From arrival, all the staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming, and the whole team worked hard to make us comfortable. Our room felt cozy and home-like, with the amenities we needed after a day out. The restaurant next door, recognized by Michelin in both 2022 and 2023, was a highlight. The food, service and atmosphere were fabulous, and breakfast there was very good too, again with excellent service. We’d highly recommend staying here. My one suggestion for management is to move checkout from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Beautiful location, comfortable room, friendly staff and amazing food. Great hotel.

We’ve stayed here several times, and keep hoping we’ll get a different room next time :) It works well for couples and families with adult children. The staff are well trained and really make you feel they’re there to help and make the stay memorable. There are bikes to use for rides around the lake or trips to nearby attractions. Breakfast has a great variety and is super nice. We tried the restaurant too, and it was amazing.
