Hostel Ferihegy

I had an overnight layover in Budapest, and staying here was an easy way to get some sleep before moving on. The hotel is clean and pleasant, the bed was comfortable, and the airport is only a six-minute drive away. A great overnight stop before a flight.

For a short stay, this is a nice, inexpensive hotel near both the airport and Wizz Air Training Center. The rooms were clean and cozy enough, with no airport noise. It looked much better than the pictures. There aren't many services, but the staff are nice.

For an early flight, the big plus is how close this hotel is to the airport. It seems suitable for one night, and they can arrange a fairly priced shuttle even during the night, in my opinion. There are snack and drink machines. But I found several fairly large spiders in my bedroom, which I don't expect in a hotel where cleanliness should be a priority. The room was also very hot, there was no AC controller, and the wifi didn't work properly.

In response to the hotel: we booked a room with a TV, but there was a notice stuck to it saying “out of order.” When I asked the receptionist, she just shrugged, and nothing was done. Breakfast was very sparse, with only about two cups of orange juice left in the container. The coffee machine wasn't working, so we had to go to reception for coffee, and the receptionist seemed to find it a bother. The food was very boring.
