It's well located and has a good range of breakfast choices. This is an old historic hotel, and the rooms need renovation. They're dated, there are no coffee machines or water stations for guests, the shower pressure is low, and the gym area is outdated. I wouldn't call it a 4-star hotel, more like 3.

I had a comfortable, pleasant night in a clean room, and I'd consider staying again. The hotel's downtown location made it easy to explore several restaurants on foot, without driving. Parking was available, which was a big plus there, and breakfast was good too.

The staff's attitude, especially at breakfast, bothered me most. After a fire alarm the previous night, everyone had to stand out in the cold for over an hour. In the morning I asked if I could get a breakfast box, and was met with a blunt “no,” with no attempt to help or understand. It felt like they couldn't care less. Some of the cheese on the buffet was already dry, as if it had been sitting out for a very long time. The location is central and convenient, which is about the only positive. The hotel feels dated and unwelcoming, with that old hotel smell and a cold atmosphere. Some room amenities hadn't even been properly refilled, giving the impression that maintenance and care aren't a priority. With so many nice hotels in the city, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

I make a point of coming back once a year. The breakfast is easy to choose from and well stocked, and the room was comfortable and clean. Staff explained check-in clearly and were helpful. The venue is spacious and works well for events.
