Hotel Velence Resort & Spa

We spent nine nights here with my wife and our 2-year-old daughter, and left disappointed, especially at €300 a night. Food quality concerned us: eggs and cold cuts sometimes looked old or discolored. Our room wasn't cleaned during the stay, apart from towel changes, and we found bugs there; I was bitten overnight. The AC couldn't be switched off, and my wife felt unwell. Cleanliness overall fell short, and many facilities seemed dated and in need of upkeep. The sauna was out of order, and the only pool for small children was indoors. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room. Staff seemed very young and struggled with some situations, while disrespectful behavior from some guests hurt the atmosphere. The hotel calls itself family-friendly, but childcare is only offered for children over 3. It's also remote, about a 30-minute drive from the nearest town or attraction. We had high hopes, but didn't get the comfort or quality we expected.

The pools worked well for adults and kids, and the wellness area was excellent. We stayed at Velence Resort & Spa with our one-year-old son, and had a relaxing, wonderful time. Everything was clean and comfortable, and it suited families with little children perfectly. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend it for a quality family getaway!

I’m a tourist from China, and thought the hotel was very nice. The water was good too, though it gets too crowded. Maybe expanding it would help. 📢📢

It was quiet and relaxing, just right for a few family days away. Even outside the Hungarian vacation period, the service was very good. Every area was clean and set up for children, even though there were only a few kids there then. The food was fine, with Hungarian dishes.
