The food was a highlight for me. Breakfast and dinner both had plenty to choose from, and I honestly can’t think of anything bad. The spa and skypool are nice too, and I don’t think you need to go to the Zalakaros aquapark/spa. It’s a pleasant spot beside a new pond and Zalakaros’s main park, good for walks. The hotel itself is quaint and almost boutique-like compared with the huge standard chains. A few things need attention. The sheets, pillows and blankets are showing their age, with yellowing, and the pillows feel cheap, like they’re filled with chunks of foam. The bathrobes were literally children’s size. My wife is only 150cm tall and hers was still too small. I could have asked reception for replacements, but it’s the principle: why would cleaning staff put two tiny robes in a room when 90% of the guests are couples? My mattress boxspring had a worn spring that squeaked badly, waking my wife whenever I got in or out of bed at night. The suite’s jacuzzi bubbles also switched on randomly when there was no water in the tub, or made loud noises through the night. It sounded like the pump was briefly kicking in again and again, and it kept me awake on our second night.

The public spaces are really well designed, and the location is excellent. The SkyPool is especially popular. It’s a good choice for a family holiday. I’d recommend the local bike paths and kenue-ing on the “Kis-Balaton”.

We had such a lovely family stay. The food was amazing, and we loved the infinity pool and the sauna program.

The rooftop looks great, though it’s brand new. The rest of the facilities are in extremely poor shape because they haven’t been properly maintained or cleaned. Some staff, including the director, seem to have no idea about customer service. At a price that matched the condition, it might be acceptable, but it’s extremely overpriced. We paid 400 EUR for a family room, which wasn’t even a connecting room, just a king-size bed and a sofa. Ridiculous. Dear potential guests, stay away from this hotel. There are many others in Hungary with decent quality at a more reasonable price.

We came back for another week at our favorite hotel, nearly 6 years after our last stay. A lot has changed since then, and the glass pool on the roof is probably the most popular addition. The food is delicious, so I recommend booking half board. The service staff and management were extremely helpful throughout the hotel. We also tried the wellness and Beauty Saloon. Talk to Mr. Song Danqquan about acupuncture without needles :)
