I stayed here twice, and the difference between the rooms made for two very different visits. Both times the nightly rate was around €46, which felt fair. Room #2 made that price worthwhile; after my experience in Room #1, I wouldn’t have paid anything for it and would have canceled. The location is lively and convenient, near central Budapest, with bars, clubs, late-night fast food, restaurants, and grocery stores close by. Self check-in was easy when I followed the instructions and short WhatsApp video. The Wi-Fi worked well on both visits. Housekeeping, though, costs an extra €35 per cleaning, which I found absurd. On my first visit I had Room #2. It was modern, nicely designed, and just the right size for one person, though it might be small for two. The kitchen had what I needed to cook or reheat food, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were hard and lumpy. The bathroom looked good and had all the essentials, including quality toiletries. Staff communication on WhatsApp was quick and helpful, especially Eyal, and they even let me check out an hour later for free. The main problem was noise. My room was opposite the entrance, so I heard street sounds at night and the housekeeper vacuuming and cleaning rooms in the hallway each morning. Even so, I left with a positive impression and came back the following year. Before that second visit, I messaged the staff on WhatsApp three days ahead and asked for Room #3 or #4 at the end of the hallway to avoid noise. It took a full day to get a response, then another day for them to say no. I ended up in Room #1, right beside the main entrance and the little utility room with cleaning supplies. The front door kept slamming, and I heard the housekeeper working in the hallway. The room’s “window” faced the internal hall, so footsteps, voices, and other noise came through. It was more like a balcony door with only a small glass panel at the top, and barely any daylight got in, even with the curtains open. The apartment itself looked nice and was laid out like Room #2. The facilities and bed were the same, and this time the pillows were soft and comfortable. But the shower stall was broken and leaked onto the floor every time I showered. There were only two large towels and one floor towel, no small ones. Checkout was also strict, with no extra hour allowed past 11:00 a.m. I’d suggest asking for Room #2, #3, or #4 on WhatsApp right after booking. If management can’t guarantee one of them or says no, I recommend canceling, since Room #1 could make for a miserable stay.
