XXL Apartman

The apartment is about 300 m from the thermal baths, but set away from the busy road, so you don't hear traffic. I can definitely recommend it. Apparently it's considered one of the best apartments in Zalakaros.

We had a great few days and found everything we needed. The place comfortably fit all 12 of us, and the owner was really kind. We'll stay here again next time we're in Zalakaros.

We've stayed here twice now, and we're planning to come back next year. Anyone looking for an affordable family holiday should be happy here. Monika, the landlady, is so kind and helpful, always ready with advice about the apartment, shopping or exchanging money. She knows how to find good deals. The apartment itself is beautiful, spotless and fully equipped, from the gas stove and oven to the microwave, TV and Wi-Fi. Both the bathroom toilet and the separate toilet were immaculate. It's in a quiet area, with a little convenience shop a short walk away for breakfast or other basics, and the thermal baths just a few minutes on foot. There's plenty to do nearby. The summer evening square in the center has music and food stalls and isn't far away. There's a market by Zalakaros bus station, and playgrounds all around. The large one in the center is about a 10-minute walk and nicely shaded by trees. For Lake Balaton, you'll need to drive to Balaton Fenyves, where there's a fantastic lakeside beach with a playground for children.

We booked the downstairs apartment, which suited our family of four very well. It was just what we wanted: clean, attractive and close to the spa, with everything needed for a relaxing evening nearby. The host was lovely and kind. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for a few restful days in a peaceful setting.
