Villa Di Bias

The staff were warm and helpful, and the room felt cozy and comfortable. I especially loved the bathroom, plus the huge infinity pool looking out to Mount Agung and the rice terraces. Those views were stunning. One of the best places I've stayed, and I'd absolutely recommend this villa.

The rice terrace views from every room are phenomenal, and the whole place feels calm and serene. But check the pool details before booking: the photos showed the villa with a private pool, so we expected one, but only one villa has a private pool, a few share one, and another has no amenities. The location is fairly remote, and getting around is difficult. Grab can be unreliable here, so I'd find a taxi driver. It's fairly close to Trita Ganga and Heavens Gate, though there isn't much else to do nearby. Their taxi, yoga, massage, and trekking prices are all very high, so I'd arrange activities yourself. The food comes from a local warung and, honestly, was disappointing.

The staff were amazing and attentive, and the villa was well kept, with a very comfortable bed and a bidet. You get rice fields, a mountain, and even a little sea view, all to yourself. At night the stars are incredible, and if you're lucky you might see fireflies. It's peaceful, not touristy, and a good way to experience local life. I loved relaxing here, and if you want a break from the city and don't mind limited food options, this could be a good fit. The food was just okay, portions were small, and the two little bottles of water weren't enough. It's a small village, so don't expect much food-wise. The villa is remote, but they can arrange a car with a driver. Staff leave at 8 pm, so after that you're on your own and far from everything. Stay more than three days or you might regret leaving so soon.

Great staff and great food, with a beautiful villa and an amazing view of the rice paddies and agung. Highly recommend.
