Amed Dream Ibus Beach Club

Breakfast was great, and we found plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has just been renovated and our family room had what we needed. The two pools were lovely, including one with a child-friendly shallow section at 0.80 m on one side. Best of all, the beach is only steps away and the reef is right there for snorkeling. We had an awesome stay and will definitely be back.

The pool is amazing, and the beachfront setting is hard to beat. Staff were friendly, and our room and bathroom were clean, though the bathroom had a bit of a smell and no window. Breakfast only had black coffee, no milk coffee. For meals, Trattoria is a good place to go for just about anything; Abing down the road costs a little more. Getting around can be expensive unless you have your own motorbike. The hotel quoted IDR 300,000 for a return trip to Amed beach, much more than similar distances in other parts of Bali. Having a bike made things much easier.

A mouse got into my room at night through a small gap under the door. Reception took ages to respond, and even after I changed rooms at 2am, I couldn't sleep. I had to leave early the next day. I asked for a refund for one night, but the owner hasn't replied to me or booking .com. The hotel was empty while I was there, and it didn't seem to be cleaned properly. There was a mouldy smell inside. There are so many nicer places nearby.

The staff were really kind and happy to help with anything. The room had just been renovated, was clean, and had the basic furnishings I needed. There weren't any bathroom amenities, so bring your own. I loved staying here.
