Bali Manik Beach Inn

The location is great and the staff were very friendly. For 115 IDR a night, I know you can't expect much, but I did expect a clean bathroom. The toilet seat had urine on it from the previous guest, and the whole room stank. The bathroom smell was so bad I could hardly breathe in there. My friends were in another room that was much cleaner and had no smell, so maybe we just got unlucky.

The location is the only real plus for me. The rooms are very basic, with a simple fan and no hot water, and there are better places for the price. After an 18-hour flight, all I wanted was a comfortable night's sleep and a warm shower. Instead, I found only cold taps and no towel to dry off with. I'd also advise against staying in Kuta for more than a night or two, since it's crowded with tourists and the restaurants are overpriced.

We stayed for 3D2N and I wasn't happy. The room smelled bad, and when we asked for an international adapter, they told us to get our own. We were 10 minutes late checking out and staff came to tell us it was time. Breakfast was limited to a pancake and a choice of tea or coffee. Still, it's cheap for Kuta.

It's cheap, but this place is old and dirty. They provide no soap, towels, or toilet paper, and there's just one electrical socket in the room. It's very loud because there aren't proper windows. Only a small part of the old half-windows is covered with dusty mosquito screens. Agoda falsely says the place has air conditioning, but it doesn't. When I told the owner the booking sites had incorrect information, he just shrugged and smiled.
