Dewangga Bungalow

It’s in a peaceful spot, yet you can walk to just about everything, from cafes and restaurants to markets, Ubud art market, and tattoo shops. Our room was fresh and tidy, and the polite staff always had a warm smile. It came with a bathtub and a very good pitch. Housekeeping were especially sweet, leaving little napkin and towel designs every day. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay and I’d happily come back. The room was roomy and comfortable, with an enormous bed that was wonderful to sink into. Around the property, sculptures gave the place an artistic, peaceful feel, and the massages were affordable and good value. The staff were polite throughout. The manager even came out to greet us and arranged our early check-in without any fuss, a small gesture that meant a lot.

The room had so many mosquitoes after we checked in. We first assumed they’d come in through the door, but then noticed a large, unclosable gap in the wall behind the closet that opened straight outside. Mosquitoes, lizards, and possibly other small animals could get in through it. When we told reception, they didn’t seem surprised and immediately arranged a refund, which made it seem they already knew about the problem. The hotel seems well located, but the rooms need maintenance, and mosquito nets on the doors and windows would help. Based on what happened, I can’t recommend staying here.

This was our second visit, and we loved everything again. The grounds are beautiful, with a pool and spa, and there are lots of shops and restaurants close by. The massage was well priced.
