Gatra Ubud Inn

It was my first time in Ubud with my partner, and this was a great choice. The location was convenient, and the place was comfortable with a lovely breakfast. Get the banana pancake in the morning, it’s delicious. The Wi-Fi is a little slow, but it didn’t matter much in such a relaxing place.

I liked having a balcony, and the room was spacious, with a wardrobe, closets for unpacking, and a bathroom with room for your products. The staff were friendly, though not especially so. It’s a budget-friendly place in a good location, but the shortcut side is noisy. Traffic and noise usually die down by 11 p.m. at the latest, and good earplugs should help you sleep. There’s a restaurant for breakfast or other meals, but with so many places within walking distance, I personally don’t see much point in eating at the same place. It’d also be handy to have a water filtering machine upstairs so guests could refill bottles without going to reception.

For the price, it’s a reasonable budget stay if you’re not too picky. I was there for two nights. The room was spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but there was noise at night that could bother light sleepers. Cleanliness needs work: I saw some ants, and the general upkeep wasn’t the best.

Kind, helpful staff, a delicious breakfast, and a comfortable, spacious room. The garden was peaceful too, and the location was great. Super good!
