Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa

We had a lovely, comfortable stay at The Jimbaran Bay Resort, with great service from the time we arrived. The rooftop terrace and restaurant made a lovely setting for dinner, especially with the dramatic sunsets. Breakfast had a very good spread, and the pool area was pleasant, with a handy bar. Across the street, the resort also has a seafront restaurant bar with a few loungers and umbrellas. We arranged a tour to Uluwatu through the hotel, which worked well as a base for exploring Bali’s southern tip. The beach was a real letdown. During our week there, plastic, driftwood, and all kinds of rubbish covered the sand as far as we could see, making a walk along the shore or sitting on the beach impossible to enjoy. Stray dogs searched through the debris for food. Some beachfront businesses raked up the trash, but then piled and burned it at night, trading one environmental nuisance for another. Jimbaran town also felt featureless, with little to offer for dining or entertainment beyond the hotel. The resort is strong on hospitality, comfort, and amenities, but the badly polluted beach, which is outside the hotel’s control, had a major effect on our trip.

The hotel is set up to make a stay comfortable, and I was impressed by the visit. Everyone was friendly and made me feel at home. Many thanks to the hotel, restaurant, and cleaning teams. The chefs put love into the food, the waiters were attentive and professional, and the receptionists and management knew what they were doing. People were always ready to help. I highly recommend coming here for a lovely stay.

The pool was a lovely place to relax, with comfortable beds and a bar right in the middle so it was easy to get a drink while swimming. My husband and I stayed at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort in an Ocean View room, which was clean and spacious, and made our visit feel special. The food was delicious, and the chef seemed very well trained and professional. The Margherita Pizza was amazing, and I especially recommend trying it. We found the stay incredibly relaxing and luxurious. I’d highly recommend Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort, especially the Ocean View room, at least once in your life.

Our group couldn’t travel because the war suddenly escalated, and although the hotel was notified ahead of time, they wouldn’t refund anything. That included a prepaid dinner that was never served. In a situation like this, I expected at least some understanding and flexibility. The response was only about policy, with no acknowledgement of what had happened. I’m deeply disappointed and found the experience disheartening.
