Komaneka at Tanggayuda

The jungle views and quiet sounds of nature from our private pool villa were unforgettable. It felt like a hidden paradise, and waking up to that scenery each morning was special. The villa was immaculate and comfortable, with thoughtful details, a spacious bathroom, and its own outdoor space. From arrival, the welcome was warm and genuine. Staff were attentive and happy to help throughout, and every meal was delicious and fresh. The breakfast omelette was amazing. Komaneka Tanggayuda resort in Ubud was an incredible, peaceful escape, and we’d absolutely come back.

The setting is amazing, and the property and staff are nice. Just be aware that at night you can hear nature and animal or insect sounds, so it’s best if you enjoy that. The noise made it a little uncomfortable to sleep, and sunlight came through the curtain blinds early in the morning. The staff were very helpful, and the restaurant menu was good.

We didn’t want to leave. The private pool, jungle view, and peaceful atmosphere made our honeymoon at Komaneka at Tanggayuda feel perfect. The room, food, and view all exceeded expectations, and the staff were kind, attentive, and genuine, making us feel at home. We’ve stayed at plenty of nice hotels, but this one really stood out. We’d definitely return someday, especially for another relaxing, romantic stay in Bali.

Our room, 106, was amazing, with a great jungle view. The hotel is beautiful and very quiet, and you hardly cross paths with other guests except around meals and pools. There are bugs in the room, which is natural in this setting, and the east-facing bathroom with lots of windows gets very hot. It could use more ventilation. The other pool was nice and well kept, but the public heated pool was dirty, and one of the two social pools was under maintenance, so we couldn’t use it. Breakfast was our main disappointment as vegetarians and vegans. We’d told them months earlier when booking, but it took five days for staff to show us the vegan menu. That was frustrating. We ate well each day, but at a five-star hotel I’d expect more variety in cereals and hot food. I’d still recommend Komaneka, though I expected more from a five-star place.
