Kuta Beach Hotel

The staff were all lovely and attentive, and I loved how close the hotel is to the beach, bars, restaurants, warungs and convenience stores. There are good choices of drinks, snacks and meals to order, and downstairs you can relax with a drink or play pool. I'm coming back for five nights in May. We stayed here on a flight and hotel package that was very competitive. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean the balcony room was. Its glass sliding door didn't shut all the way, but no big deal. There was cold filtered water on each level to refill bottles. Breakfast was basic Indonesian style with an egg station, but filling enough. The rooftop pool had great views. It's not very deep, but the water was still nice and cool.

The restaurant staff were the best part of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating about food allergies. Unfortunately, the hotel was very run down compared with the website photos. We arrived late at night and the first room had flooded in the torrential rain, so we asked to move. The second smelled of mould. The third had two single beds and smelled of smoke. The fourth had an extremely strong perfume smell, apparently to cover mould, and the fifth was the same. We took the fifth once we realised things weren't going to improve. We stayed one night. Road noise was awful and I barely slept. The smell was so bad I woke with a terrible sore throat, which I still had four days later. We checked out that morning for a much nicer hotel, giving up the rest of our stay and the money paid up front. No regrets about changing.

The rooms were neat, and the air conditioning worked really well. I also liked the restaurant and pool upstairs. Christian, the Manager, was especially welcoming and gave great service. The beach is right nearby, which makes the location very handy. It’s not a five-star resort, but the price is fair for how hospitable it is. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Bali.

The rooftop pool was a highlight for me, especially for unwinding with a drink and looking out over Kuta Beach at sunset. The restaurant had a decent mix of local and international food, and breakfast was satisfying. Staff were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. You can walk to Beachwalk Mall and plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops, and Kuta Beach is just across the road. It’s a good base if you want to be in the middle of Bali’s beach scene without arranging transport for every outing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with soft beds, working air conditioning, and tidy, functional bathrooms. Housekeeping came daily. Most rooms have balconies, and some have ocean views. For the location, facilities, and service, I thought Kuta Beach Hotel was good value. It could suit couples, families, or solo travelers looking for comfort and convenience alongside the lively Kuta atmosphere.
