Liberta Hotel Jimbaran

The hot water, AC, and TV all worked properly, and the WhatsApp customer service was fairly responsive. Check-in was quick and smooth. I stayed one night because of an emergency. The room was very humid and smelled strongly, and we felt itchy, so the bed needs more regular cleaning. It wasn’t soundproof either. During breakfast we could hear spoons and other noises coming up to the second floor. With those problems addressed, the convenient location near the airport and city could make this a great option.

The hotel has a great design, but the room smelled moldy from the air conditioning. The toilet seat looked dirty, with poo stains, and the beds need better cleaning. They should use better cleaning products and have enough staff to do the job properly. The restaurant also needs to improve hygiene around the seating area and where the food is laid out. Other guests were loud and disturbing people all night or early in the morning, including at 5am. There needs to be a quiet-time rule. This hotel is near the airport, and I stayed here to rest, which I couldn’t do. I hope these things improve.

I was there for five nights, and getting to Jimbaran Beach on foot was easy. It also worked well as a base for trips to Uluwatu or Canggu. Breakfast was good, though rice showed up every day. A few things need attention: the water heater didn't stay hot for long, the pool looked a little dirty, and the rooms could use more hangers.

For the price, the hotel itself seemed reasonable, but the checkout situation was bizarre. I came back for a few things I'd left in the room and was told nothing had turned up. After I contacted customer service, the bellman brought them out. Apparently housekeeping had already tossed them in the trash. It was my underwear and some toiletries, handed back to me in a plastic bag. I couldn't decide whether to be upset or laugh at how ridiculous it all was.
