Puri Kobot

Mornings here are a treat, with breakfast brought out to your terrace. The staff are warm and ready to help, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and well kept, with a lovely traditional look. Puri Kobot Guest House feels like a quiet little paradise amid rice fields and tropical gardens, away from the busy town center. A relaxing, authentic stay.

The property and its pool view were mesmerizing, and the staff were polite and cooperative. We had a wonderful stay. Special thanks to Mr. Juna for taking such beautiful photos around the property and making our visit memorable. 👌

I hate leaving one-star reviews, but other travellers should know about this. We lost a day dealing with what felt like deceptive pricing at Spiri Kobot. We like to see a room before booking, so we checked availability and rates on booking.com, saw a room listed, and drove 30 minutes to view it for a week-long stay. After seeing the room, we unfortunately mentioned that we planned to book through booking.com. Reception asked what price we’d seen, 685.ooo IDR, then called the owner and the rate suddenly became 900.ooo IDR per night. They changed the price on booking.com right in front of us as we were about to book. The cost itself wasn’t the issue, we stay in 5-star hotels and weren’t bargain hunting, but the way they handled it felt scammy and ridiculous, so we left without booking. Once we’d gone, we saw the price had dropped back to the original rate. Just a heads up: if you still want to book this shifty hotel, do it through booking.com and don’t mention it to the staff. Next door, we found a very nice, clean place with wonderful customer service, Gefecon villa. It’s nicer, in a similar price range, and you don’t risk being ripped off there. ☺️🧿🙏🏼

We loved having the pool here, it was easily our favorite spot. The room was spacious and clean, and you can pay a small fee to have breakfast in the pool. They also rent motorbikes, which made getting around very convenient. Perfect for our Ubud stay, 10/10!
