Puri Santrian Beach Resort And Spa

The food at both the beach club and hotel restaurant was AMAZING, and I enjoyed every dish along with the service. Staff were great, and the hotel service felt almost like a five-star place. Everything was super clean, and the pool water was really clean and had no chlorine smell, which surprised me. I also liked the tennis court, though I recommend booking it ahead. Most rooms are quite dark, and the bathroom smell came from the drain holes rather than dirt. I’d highly recommend the hotel and would come back if I visit Sanur again.

The Premiere Rooms were stunning, and I’d ask for that section again on a future visit to Sanur. In particular, Reception Staff Gung Mas was wonderful and made sure we were happy and comfortable. We can’t praise her enough. The whole team seemed sincerely keen to do right by guests, from the luggage assistants and restaurant staff to the cleaners, grounds staff, and management. They’re truly lovely and helpful people who go out of their way. We stayed at Puri Santrian Beach Resort, and I’m commenting only on the room we settled into.

The breakfast was good and had a nice variety, and the restaurant staff were especially wonderful. The grounds are lush and beautiful in a typical Balinese style. I’d expected more luxury from the reviews, though, and felt a little disappointed. Our third-floor room was very dark, and the bathroom looked dated, with a shower over the bath and a curtain. Rain on the tin roof was really loud, and barking dogs disturbed our sleep.

We went in mid January at the start of low season, so there were fewer guests and the place felt private and serene. Puri Santrian has a beautiful stretch of beachfront, with no boats allowed to park in front, unlike most nearby places. Within 300m in either direction, the boardwalk and bike path lead to small shops and beachfront WARUNGS with fresh local food and drinks. The resort sits thoughtfully among lush gardens, with sculpture-lined paths and pagodas, several beautiful pools, and plenty of places to sit and eat with loungers by the beach and pool. The villas are spacious, well equipped, and sparkling, with modern touches. It’s a true 10/10 stay for me. Nothing negative to say.
