For anyone who loves nature, this place is a beautiful fit. The garden is lush, with winding paths like a maze and rooms tucked out of sight. My favorite part was having a massage while listening to the sea. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the food was wonderful. I’d suggest ordering local specialties ahead of time. It was rainy season and there were hardly any guests, so I got to use the yoga seminar on my own, a lovely moment. The rooms are open and clean, and the beds feel fresh as flowers. There are spiders, insects and frogs, so you need to be okay with them to enjoy your stay.

A lovely setting, good food, great staff and proper spa treatments made this one of the highlights of our time on Bali. There’s also a resident toucan, Bella, who’s very friendly with people and hugely entertaining. A great place to slow down for a few days.

We wanted some quiet time to unwind and enjoy the spa, and Villa Boreh was just the kind of peaceful rural Bali we’d hoped to find. It feels a world away from the southern cities, far down a narrow road that can barely fit a car. The staff greeted us warmly, the villas were lovely, the meals were beautiful, and there are three pools. The beach is right at your doorstep, and snorkels are free to use. Shopping, lots of activity and outdoor sports aren’t really what this place is for. We visited kes village, met local people and had a lovely massage from Illuh at Les Family Spa Massage. I highly recommend it for an out of this world massage at a fraction of what city parlours charge. Ari was especially friendly, drove us around and shared great tips, always going above and beyond. Please remember to tip the staff. They work so hard for barely 8 dollars a day, and every little bit helps them immensely.

The staff were cheerful, communicative and great, and the massage itself was lovely. I’ve had a few there, with the calming sound of water and birds around me. But through the whole session I could hear metal hammering, grinding and cutting, like a mechanical workshop. That noise really ruined the relaxing atmosphere. The front door says “Be quiet,” so please stick to that. Management clearly needs to learn something. Thank you.
