Hotel Mega Lestari

We had a great time breaking our fast here. The staff and chef were kind, friendly, and helpful, and the food tasted good. For 80k/pax, it was really worth it. There was live music we could request songs for or sing along with, which made for a fun dinner with our lovely people. Such a pleasure. Thank you, Hotel Mega Lestari! 😁👍

Melinda’s service made a big difference during my stay. She was welcoming and friendly, helped me with several things around the hotel, arranged scooter rental, and helped me plan my visit to Nudantara. It gave the place a guesthouse feel as well as being a hotel. I was the only Westerner there, but felt relaxed and comfortable as a solo traveler. Five out of five for Melinda and the rest of the staff for their service!

The kids pool and friendly staff were the only good parts for us, though the staff barely spoke English. Cleanliness didn’t seem to be a priority. The toilet smelled of poop and cigarettes, and I doubt it had ever been cleaned with chemicals. There were lots of black stains, mold, and dirt around the sink and shower that could easily be cleaned with Clorox. The bathroom door was thin, had gaps, and offered no privacy. You could hear everything, and the smell came into the room. The sheets and linens were very old. My family and I moved rooms because the toilet in the first one was so nasty, but the next room wasn’t any better and had a strong cigarette smell. Breakfast was very poor. If you’re coming from Europe or America, don’t expect Western options, just sliced bread and eggs. Most of the food was local. They say the buffet starts at 6 a.m., but when we went then, it was still being prepared and there were few choices. The Wi-Fi was horrible, limited to two devices per room with a very weak signal. We couldn’t watch Netflix or YouTube.

The toilet floor was dirty, and there was a water leak mark on the ceiling. Don’t be fooled by the nice photos in the ad. I paid too much for a room in that condition, and it wasn’t worth staying there. I’d choose another three-star hotel.
