RedDoorz Syariah @ Panglima Nyak Makam Aceh

The bathroom, towel, sheets, and thin blanket were surprisingly clean, warm, and smelled pleasant. The AC worked fine too. But the Wi-Fi didn't reach the room, and there was no hot water or tissues. We went to the 'coffee shop' for breakfast around 8:30 and nearly everything was gone. There was only cold rice, a tiny portion of stewed mini shrimp with a little chopped potato, and cold vermicelli that tasted bland. The tea and coffee were cold, with just one cup of juice left. There were no plates set out, so we had to take some from the nearby dish rack. No waitress or staff member checked whether we wanted more side dishes.

Stayed four nights in a Twin Room. The bed was very comfortable, the AC got really cold, and there was carpet across the whole floor. It's away from the boulevard, so the surroundings were quiet. There were some stains on the ceiling, though, and the water heater only worked around noon and in the afternoon, which was disappointing in the morning and at night. Not bad at all for the price, especially with the Reddoorz app discount.

The room had cockroaches everywhere. Staff sprayed it with poison, so I had to change rooms in the middle of the night. The shower was broken, and the water tank sat in the sun all day, leaving the water nearly boiling by afternoon and evening. Breakfast was just so-so, and the room was poorly furnished. IDR 250k is far too much for this place. I wouldn't stay again even if they paid me 250k.

After walking around Aceh, this was a nice spot to rest. The owner was really kind and friendly, and they had good breakfast and coffee. It was comfortable for the price.
