Our Air Asia flight was cancelled, so we ended up checking in here by chance. The receptionist on 25th November deserves applause: he was alone and handled 100 of us. With help from Air Asia staff, everyone got checked in very quickly. The room was basic, with old furniture and an old toilet. It had a TV, prayer mat, AlQuran, bottled water, toiletries, and a stained towel. There are a few cafes nearby, and the mosque is within walking distance.
The twin rooms have very comfortable super-single beds, and the staff are friendly. The facilities are well used and may not look very appealing. I had no trouble with the shower's hot water, unlike other reviews, so perhaps they fixed it. I appreciated having a prayer mat and a copy of the Al Quran in the room.
The staff were friendly and polite, which was a plus. The bathroom, though, was in rough shape, with a broken faucet, a bit of a smell, and a dirty floor. I was told the hot water runs on solar power, so after sunset, getting a hot shower may be a gamble.
For nearly 500k, I ended up in a windowless room with a terrible toilet, no working hot water, and Wi-Fi that didn't work either. The building feels old and poorly maintained, and the place needs a lot of improvement. I wouldn't say it was worth the price.
For a night or two, it might be okay, but I’d choose somewhere else for a longer stay. I was here for two work days in Banda Aceh. The staff were helpful and nice, and the food was okay, though there wasn't much to choose from. My room had a dirty bathroom, no towel ready, and a broken light. The hotel doesn't seem well maintained. Thanks.
