OYO 2979 Khalifa Residence

The room I stayed in had a few problems. The shower holder was missing, so I had to hold the shower myself, and the sink had no running water, so I brushed my teeth with mineral water, hehe. The sink also looked poorly maintained, and it seemed like the room was rarely occupied. Still, the AC was cool, the bathroom was clean, and the room was clean too. The place is a good stop in the middle of Lampung city at an affordable price, with facilities equivalent to a 3-star hotel. It suits careful, modest backpackers on a tight budget, especially people visiting from out of town. Hopefully tourism recovers after the pandemic and places like this get more visitors and are maintained again, aamiin.

We asked to switch rooms or have the faucet fixed, but they offered no solution. The water barely flowed because the faucet was broken and leaking, the bathroom smelled of urine, and the ceiling was damaged. We checked in and left without staying the night because the water couldn’t be used for bathing. Highly not recommended!!

The place is comfortable, with cool AC, a clean bathroom, towels, blankets, and a closet. They don’t provide toiletries, though. The price is very affordable, and the service is friendly. It’s easy to reach, but the location is a bit hidden, so you’ll need Google Maps. Motorcycle parking is limited, while car parking is quite spacious. Check-in is available anytime if you follow the rules, and service runs 24 hours. The gate gets locked at night, but you can wake someone if you want to go out for food. Highly recommended for travelers.

We had booked five rooms, but the woman and man there were still really rude. The sink was broken, with foul-smelling water leaking from underneath, and there was no drinking water. The AC also never got cold enough.
