I was really disappointed with the booking process handled by OYO, and we’ll never use OYO again. The information was unclear, and we waited 2 months just to get confirmation of the hotel rate. When we tried to confirm the booking again, they said we had to pay a 50% downpayment. We agreed, then they said their system had an issue and they couldn’t give us the coupon. To get the booking confirmed, they wanted a different rate, 2 times the initial one they’d given us. Is this a scam or what? The whole process was very nonsense.

It’s okay if all you need is a budget room to rest in. The place is about 10-15 minutes from Bandung railway station, and the room was fairly spacious. Warm water worked well, and there was a bathtub. Asteria, it’s basically an old hotel with a beautiful exterior, but the room was quite dark. There was no welcome drink or amenities, just one old, dull-looking towel, so bring your own. I found stains on the sheets and pillow, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Please consider not using that bedding anymore.

The service was the worst I’ve ever had. I recently booked through the OYO app and cashed out at 150.000 rupiah, but they also asked for another 100.000 rupiah, saying it was an app error. At first they even told me my booked room hadn’t been paid for. I argued calmly, and eventually we reached an agreement.

It’s okay if all you want is a night’s sleep, but that’s about it. The place was dirty, and my room’s sink was moldy. The receptionists were VERY VERY SLOW. They were still asleep at 7 in the morning, which made checking out hard. Then, to top it off, I lost my earphone here. I contacted them an hour after checking out to ask if they had it so I could retrieve it, and they never replied. Won’t be coming back. Screw this place.
