The old building seems to be maintained well, and I enjoyed staying here over the New Year holiday. The room was roomy and comfortable, with nice lighting and an unusual toilet seat. There were lots of facilities, including a pool, hot and cold whirlpools, a kids' pool and play area, massage chair, steam room, sauna, and gym. Breakfast tasted fine, though the menu didn't have much variety. For the price, it felt worth it. The location is handy for the train station and a mall, but nights can be noisy because of the nearby club and station. The Wi-Fi was slow on every floor and in the rooms, with a strong signal only in the lobby. One night, when we asked to swap a wet towel, the receptionist said there'd be a charge. Drinking water and other supplies felt very limited. There's no basement parking, just a small lot, and the parking security wasn't friendly unless you tipped. Waiters responded slowly but were fairly friendly. The breakfast utensils and sofa were stained and didn't look properly cleaned. Room door locks were broken, and you don't need a card to use the lift upstairs, so privacy felt minimal.

I've never had a worse hotel experience in Indonesia. It was the dirtiest hotel I've seen in years. The non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes, and the towels smelled like they hadn't been washed in ages. The breakfast tables and seats were covered in gecko droppings.

The rooftop bar and the swimming pool on the ground floor were available, and the area worked really well for us. If you arrive by train, the hotel is an easy walk from the station, and Jalan Braga is about a 20-minute walk away. The room was basic, but had everything needed. There was construction going on, though we didn't hear any disruptive noise where we stayed.
