Hotel Rumah Gaharu

The parking charge and the ID check both left me uneasy. When we checked out, the gray-haired security guard asked us for Rp 5,000 for parking. Do guests really have to pay? Earlier, while we had a few suitcases, he was busy asking questions and said, "Check out, sir?" We were only moving the luggage to another hotel, a STAR-STAR hotel, of course. At check-in I was asked to hand over a physical ID card. I've never had a hotel in Bandung take my ID like that. I first offered a photo ID, but it was rejected. Why keep someone's card? Are you worried about something being stolen? The room amenities aren't expensive, and even star-rated hotels don't confiscate ID cards. That was when I started feeling bad about the property. The room was also very noisy from traffic, so I'd suggest soundproofing. On the morning of December 31st, the elevator broke down. I had my 2-year-old child with me, my wife was pregnant, and we had a lot of luggage, which made it really frustrating. I spent 4 days and 3 nights vacationing in Bandung and booked a hotel, including Rumah Gaharu. Would I come back? Absolutely not. If you're thinking of staying here with family, lower your expectations. This isn't a hotel, it's a boarding house.

I've been here twice while visiting Bandung, and it suits my small family well. The size is just right, the vibe is calm, and everything in the room worked. The bathroom was clean, the lighting was good, and toiletries were provided. It feels very homey. There's a shared kitchen too, and the employees are friendly. Admin was easy to deal with, and the price is affordable for someone like me who has to weigh things up 😁 I'll make this my regular place if I return to Bandung. Hope management keeps the service consistent, it's already really good 👍🏻 Thank you.

Students from Piksi Ganesha studying outside Bandung will find the location convenient. The loft room has plenty of space for three adults. The hotel was clean and service was friendly. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

I couldn't settle in to rest once I entered the room because of a bad smell. After checking, I realized it seemed to come from the mattress or blanket 😭 I was stuck complaining and asking to change the sheets or move rooms 😮‍💨
