Right in the city center, so getting around is easy. It’s an apartment turned into a capsule hotel, but it felt cozy and homelike, and the owner was really friendly. I slept well. The AC was super cold, maybe too cold for me haha. I was surprised how quiet it was, even with just wooden planks and curtains or blinds between the spaces.
The bathroom was a little worn, but for the price it was still very good. The place is fairly clean, and the service is really kind. It feels like a regular apartment in a big building that's been converted into a hotel. I'd recommend it to budget travelers.
The balcony was a highlight for me. You get a lovely view over Bandung, and it can also be used as a smoking area. The host was helpful and friendly, offered bread with chocolate and peanut jam for breakfast, and shared ideas for places to visit, food to try, and tips for getting around Bandung. Getting there is easy, since the hostel is beside a main road, but it’s inside an apartment building with no big sign, so you may need to ask around. There aren’t many places to eat nearby at night, and you might have to walk a bit if you’re hungry. The price is reasonable for a capsule hostel. The room itself is small but clean and cozy. One bedroom has four mixed capsule beds, each with a curtain for privacy, though you may want earplugs because you can hear other guests sleeping. There’s a little aquarium on the bedroom wall, which is calming before bed. The toilet is very small, since one larger toilet has been divided into two to serve more people.
The balcony view over Bandung, from a fairly high spot, might be enough to make me forget the downsides. I’d come back someday. The place is in GAA apartment, right in central Bandung, so it’s convenient for getting around. Burangrang is about five minutes away, handy if you want to explore food options. The price was cheap, and the features were nice: a hot shower, kitchen, free bread, and mineral water. At the same time, it was both better and worse than I expected. It’s quite small, and there’s no door to the bed, just a curtain to block the view.
I liked how easygoing the other guests were, and the receptionist was lovely, especially the woman. The capsule hotel has a shared kitchen, bathrooms, and balcony. I’d suggest it for a Bandung stay if you’re okay with less privacy and want more chances to connect with people.
