Jiro Hotel

Breakfast isn’t a buffet here. You choose from a menu the night before, then have it downstairs in the cafe or get it sent to your room, which I really liked. The location works well for a leisure trip to Bandung, with lots of coffee shops and other popular places nearby. The room was clean and looked nice, though it felt small for the price. It’s a decent choice if you’re alone or sharing with someone who’s fine with a small room for two. I wouldn’t recommend it for business travelers.

The staff stayed really calm and helpful even though there were riots near Dago while we were there. Supervisor Mr. Andi and the team made the stay especially good, with warm hospitality from the moment I arrived. I’d booked two rooms, but one wasn’t ready yet. While I waited, they offered me a complimentary welcome drink at SUGU cafe, which has a calming atmosphere. Breakfast was great too, and I recommend the truffle cheese burger. A very pleasant stay at JIRO, and I’ll be back for sure!

Friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable bed. My room had a balcony, a large-screen TV with Netflix, and a hot rain shower. It was spacious, clean, and done in a minimalist style. A nice bonus is being right above the famous sugu cafe, which is open 24 hours. My favorite drink there was the iced shaken coffee sugu.

The 24-hour restaurant is handy, and the Western beef burger I ordered when we arrived was fresh and really good. The location is great too, and the rooms, while small, were clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was a letdown: stone cold two days in a row, and the coffee was barely warm. I had to ask for extra hot, and then it came out how I’d normally expect it anywhere else. Also, don’t expect free-to-air TV, you can only sign in to apps. Would we stay again? No. We don’t recommend this hotel.
