Kalya Hotel Bandung

Even with nice staff, this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Bandung. I wouldn’t come back even if someone paid me. It’s across from a club and VERY loud, so I couldn’t sleep at all. We booked a family room expecting space, but it was like a regular standard room with two queen beds squeezed in. There wasn’t enough room for our luggage. The room upstairs spent hours rearranging furniture, and we heard everything. We could also hear people passing our door. The bathroom was tiny, with no shower divider, so water got everywhere. If Google allowed minus stars, I’d give it minus 5.

We booked three rooms for two nights over Idul Fitri (20-22 Mar 2026), two Deluxe and one Standard on the same floor, rooms 507-509. Rooms 508 and 509 were fine, but the air conditioning in 507 was broken and the room was hot. We complained, and a technician came to refill the freon. It seemed OK at first, but by evening the room was hot again and stayed that way through day 2. The towels in 507 were yellowing and looked shabby. Management should take care of this for customer satisfaction. The hotel was otherwise great, with friendly and helpful staff. The location in Dago is near outlets and places to eat. The food was so-so.

There was one blackout due to unavoidable circumstances, but the hospitality was good and my overall experience was nice. Make sure to come.

The rooftop was a lovely place to spend the evening, with a calming view of the Bandung skyline. We stayed three nights in the Family Suite on a girls’ trip, and it had plenty of room for the three of us to relax. Everything was spotless and well designed. Kalya Hotel Bandung was a delightful find. The lobby and the rest of the hotel look great, with picture-worthy corners everywhere. Breakfast from the buffet was fresh, warm, and satisfying. The staff were welcoming, always smiling, and ready to help. It’s central, feels safe, and was close to everything we wanted to explore. Recommended!
