Malaka Hotel Bandung

In a quiet neighborhood, and conveniently close to the viral Abah Harja, this hotel does the basics well: it's clean, the staff are friendly, the room is comfy, and there's a smart TV. A couple of odd things: the view is currently a construction site, with some noise, though it's manageable. The AC placement is also a mystery because it blows straight at your head. You may have to shift where you sleep to avoid a brain freeze, but otherwise it was a solid stay.

The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the water pressure was good. It’s in a convenient spot, and the area was very quiet and secluded at night. There was construction beside our room, though. The room felt a little cramped, but it was fine for one night. The interior is minimal, with basic amenities.

I’d stay here again if I’m back in Bandung. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout were quick. Our clean room had a good layout, plus a balcony that was lovely to sit on in the morning. Toiletries, tea, coffee, and a hair dryer were provided. The location is great, with cafes within walking distance that open from 7 AM. Keep up the good work~

The only drawback I noticed was the limited parking, just one row on each side of the building. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. The rooms are beside the restaurant, so when we opened the door, we could see the dining table. I was at a wedding catered by the hotel, and the food and drinks were amazing. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the staff were hospitable. The food and coffee were good too. It’s near downtown, with a tranquil atmosphere, and the air conditioning and water heater worked well. I hope we can return when we visit the city.
