Rumah Tamu Muararajeun

Really great.

The staff were nice, but I left feeling let down after choosing this place based on its good reviews. I’d booked a family room for three, then at check-in found out it wasn’t on Jl. Muararajeun like Google and the photos suggested. It was in a different house at Muararajeun Tengah No. 28. The room still had a lot of the owner’s personal belongings mixed in, and there was no TV in it. There was an older TV outside, but when I tried it, the screen was just gray and none of the national channels appeared. A twin-bed setup could have worked for a family, too.

I’d come back because it’s close to so many places. Gedung Sate and Gasibu are within walking distance, and travel services are nearby. The house has two levels, is clean, and the room, though small, was comfortable with a clean bathroom inside. There’s no breakfast, but hot water is available from the dispenser. Check-in is at 14.00 and checkout at 12.00 WIB. I booked through WA, and you can check prices through the app or WA. Early check-in costs extra depending on the time and whether a room is available, even if it’s already empty. The alley is walkable and wide enough for two cars, but it isn’t busy or noisy.

It’s peaceful here, and the air feels cool. The house has three rooms downstairs and four upstairs. There’s gallon water and a refrigerator, but no stove or cooking equipment, so we brought our own electric ones. Parking fits three cars, with space for two more to park in front of the house.
