I was fine with the cheapest room, even though it had no window. What I really liked was being in the middle of Bandung's traditional food spots, including Mie Akung, Mih Kocok Mang Dadeng, Lotek Macan, Lotek Cilentah, and Tahu Baso Sim Chan. Those have been childhood favorites of mine.
