Tokyo Cubo - Hostel

Its location and price are the best things here. It’s fairly close to the main train station, with street food and convenience stores nearby. The hostel is tucked inside a small restaurant. Staff spoke English and the service was pretty nice. My room was clean and air-conditioned, and the beds were ordinary but had privacy curtains. There were lockers, and the toilets and showers were clean and in good condition when I visited. The facilities need work. When it rains, water leaks in several places, and even with buckets underneath, it can spill over and make a mess. The common area is small and not always air-conditioned, so it gets humid and uncomfortable to hang out in. I’d suggest adding somewhere to dry umbrellas in rainy season. Mine was damaged by someone when I tried drying it in the open-air area they directed me to.

A handy place for backpackers who mainly need a bed in a strategic location. Bandung Station is only a 10-minute walk away. My single room was just big enough to sleep in, but it was fairly comfortable. There’s a water heater, clean toilet, locker, galon of mineral water, dining room, and lots of warung out front. The toilet can smell sometimes, so maybe it needs a second flush.

Good location and nice staff. I’d definitely come back.

There’s street food all around, and a 24-hour Indomaret fresh nearby, which is really convenient. The location is very strategic, the facilities are complete, and there’s a hot shower. The price is good too. The downside is that the toilet was a little dirty, the WiFi was sometimes unavailable, and anyone on an upper bunk has to climb a ladder.
