VK Pods Bandung - Hostel

For Rp 150k per person per night, I thought this was very good value. The dorm room is spacious and gave me a Singapore-like feeling. Each bed is big enough for two, though there’s plenty of room for one, with its own curtain, a couple of lamps, a mini table, pillows and bolsters, and a blanket. The bathroom is shared, and the toilet is very small. I think tall people might have trouble closing the door all the way. Breakfast is unlimited bread with jam, coffee, and tea. The place is in the same area as mall hyper paskal and near Bandung Station.

The best reason to stay here may be its spot in one of Bandung's prime areas. You can walk to the train station, and there are tourist attractions and places to eat nearby. The pod bed was roomy and comfortable, so I could stretch out without feeling claustrophobic. The communal showers and toilets were clean, and the amenities covered the essentials. There’s a nice lounge for socializing with other hostel guests, though I didn’t really do that. Wi-Fi was good too. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a cheap but good place to sleep.

The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and access was easy. It’s fairly cheap for budget travel, and the reception is open 24 hours. Still, my stay had pros and cons. On weekdays it can be nearly empty. I spent the night alone in the building, so I’d suggest going with friends. When I visited, the female dorm door wouldn’t lock. Nothing bad happened, but it could feel unsafe. The sign out front is also hard to spot.

I had a good time here. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, and they also had various snacks. The hostel feels comfortable and is in a convenient location near bandung station, Paskal 23 mall, a church, indomaret, clubs, and various cafes. I’d recommend it if you’re planning to explore Bandung city.
