Terra Cassa Hotel

Breakfast didn’t have much variety, though room service food was fairly affordable. Getting to the pool takes a bit of a walk. The hotel is in a convenient spot near the main square, and while my room wasn’t very spacious, it was comfortable and clean.

I booked directly with the Terra Cassa admin after finding the hotel on Google Maps and IG during a last-minute family holiday at year-end. Contacting them on WA was easy, and the reply came quickly from a friendly admin. We were lucky to get a room facing Rawapening and the mountains. It was very small, especially the cramped bathroom, but I’d seen other reviews and knew what to expect. The room and hotel were impressively clean. Breakfast was limited and served only from 7-9am, but staff were pretty quick and the food tasted decent. Room service was reasonably priced and available until 9.30pm. The tucked-away pool looked private, but we skipped it because the morning felt too cold at 18° for us, coming from cities that are usually 32-35°. Since it’s a budget hotel, there’s no elevator, connecting rooms, or soundproofing. Lots of families book multiple rooms, so in the morning and evening you’ll hear knocks and people calling their relatives to open doors. It seems other guests don’t mind, but it’s best to be gentle so you don’t disturb anyone, because the rooms aren’t soundproof. For us, it worked well as a place to sleep before going on excursions all day. Booking directly with the Terra Cassa admin is cheaper, and if older relatives or children have trouble with stairs, you can ask for a room with ramp access.

The room had a nice view and a connecting door. Breakfast was good enough. This is a clean little hotel in a handy spot, near Bandungan market and places to find food.

It’s easy to find, and close to Bandungan Market for street food and souvenirs. The location is great, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. Food was inexpensive and tasted good.
