Bamburgh is lovely, and the staff were very nice. The stay itself was just fine, neither especially good nor bad. It was served superheated.

The relaxing atmosphere is nice, and you can hear local boats now and then. I didn't mind the noise; it added something to staying in the hotel and Banjarmasin. For the best river view, get a room with a balcony. It's tiny, but you can look straight out at the river, take photos, or just sit and unwind. The place itself is cozy.

The staff, from the waiters and receptionists to the room boys, were kind and warm, and the service was pretty good. I liked having breakfast by the Martapura river, and I'm still craving the porridge with chicken broth. My room was cozy, but cleanliness was an issue: I saw ants and spotted a lizard on the wall several times.

The restaurants are downstairs, which is handy, and the air conditioning worked well. A river-facing room has a nice view. Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent, if I could log in at all, and there was smoking in a lot of places, so keep that in mind. Still, it was fairly nice.

The bed was comfortable, so I slept well, even though the room was nothing special. The bathroom had a drain smell, and the air conditioning barely worked. For such basic accommodation, I think the price should be $10.
